Green Tree Country Club is currently accepting resumes for the position of Food and Beverage Service Manager.

The Food & Beverage Service Manager is responsible for leading the food and beverage service staff in facilities to include Green Tree's two dining areas, Patio, Veranda, Banquet Halls, Men's Lounge and Beverage Cart. The manager is also responsible for ensuring the highest level of member service by overseeing all aspects of service and service staff during operating hours, while working in a clean and safe environment, and meeting all financial goals for sales and expenses.

Green Tree Country Club is the cornerstone of the area's most sought after residential development in Midland Texas. The club boasts a 40,000 square foot club house, 30 holes of golf, tennis, swimming and fitness facilities. Green Tree offers high volume a la carte dining and banquet services, operating from one central kitchen. The club has a full complement of members (1,100), does over 2.4 million in food sales and enjoys a great reputation in the community as the premier country club in the area.

The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude and project an outgoing personality. The person selected for this position must operate with integrity and possess an excellent work record that reflects dependability and progression. He/She must have an even temperament and be able to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Primary duty is management and leadership of the food and beverage team
  • Attends and participates in weekly Leadership meetings
  • Implements and supports all Club initiatives and programs as requested by management
  • Partners with other Club departments to ensure exemplary customer service and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Maintains knowledge of other Clubs and industry trends

 Minimum Education, Experience & Other Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 - 4 years of progressive responsibility in food and beverage industry required
  • A minimum of 2 years of personnel management required, preferably in a club, golf, hospitality and/or service industry
  • Highly proficient in cost controls
  • Intense drive for professional development
  • Full working knowledge of banquets and member events
  • Experience in resolving member and/or employee issues/complaints as well as overall excellent member service required
  • Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Solid time management, organization and prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to effectively build and foster a team environment
  • Ability to work independently and proactively make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be of legal age to service alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally with others
  • Ability to work with all personality types even in adverse situations
  • Ability to prioritize, anticipate situations, and take quick action
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and recommend/implement effective solutions
  • Demonstrated commitment to member service and employee engagement
  • Excellent problem solving/decision making skills
